Capistrano sempre implantando revisão antiga?

Eu tenho tido um problema em que o capistrano implantará uma revisão antiga do nosso git repo, a menos que especifiquemos a revisão exata que queremos implantar.

cap staging deploy:migrations

Alguém tem uma ideia de por que isso poderia estar acontecendo?
